Our first board game creation, Super Hazard Quest, was born from a desire to combine the fun of retro side-scrolling video games with the community spirit of board games. My friend and business partner Ben Famiglietti and I built and successfully kickstarted this game during our downtime. With the help of some good friends, we took the game to conventions and board game stores for testing.
After a successful Kickstarter campaign, I faced the challenge of transitioning my pixel art work into InDesign for printing. Despite some growing pains, I managed to learn the basics of print design using InDesign and Illustrator.
Next came the exciting task of pixel art animation. The 13-year-old version of me was happy to create character vignettes and promotional content for TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. I coined the phrase “Unplug and Play,” which perfectly encapsulated our goal for the game.
Now you can find this game on Amazon and Wallmart.

Our first promotional video we created for the game in 2015.  Lo-fi but fun to make.

This is a character spotlight on one of the playable board game characters, highlighting their abilities.
